Just to clarify things for you, if you bought 02 SE rims they'd be 17" not 18". So the rims you have are 17". Only way they'd be 18" is if they're from an 04 or up SE. Post a pic of the rims, and I can help you identify them.

Skidz has it right, 02 rims are 17" biggest, posting a pic will solve the problem for sure.

the rims should be 17" if they are the original rims, so 225/50/17 is the proper size.

You'll need 235/40/18 for those wheels. You can go 245/40/18 but you MIGHT rub the rears on huge bumps.

225 is a bit narrow and will look stretched.

I am running on 235's and there are just wide enough I agree with Skidz 245's might just be pushing things a little more than you need

If you are getting a really good price on the 225/40, I would take it. It's not that much of a stretch. I'm running 215/35 on 8 in wide rims, and that's more of a stretch than the 225/40 would be.

alikk23 ... Those would probably fit quit nicely, but for me they have to much tread ware, the center ribbing is all but worn down, yes they still have a fair depth in the major grooves but personally I think you would find those tires to have a fair bit of slipping on damp road conditions. I don't think I would offer more than 200.00 for the set as a used tire place normally sells tires at 40.00 to 50.00 bucks a tire. Just my 2cents

alikk23 ... now those tire look to be in far better condition than the ones from the first link, and if he is willing to let the set go for only 300.00 I would give them a go.
