Welcome Saki2002... Now if I was to push down on my accelerator and heard nothing my first thoughts would be that someone has stolen my engine!! ... sorry about that I couldn't resist, what kind of noise is it that you hear ...eg metallic ... humming .... rattle. It might help if you could describe the noise a little bit more.

Humming could be a wheel bearing. It was for me.

Thanks Saki, I would have to agree with skidz, could be a bearing on its way out, mine has been making a humming sound for a couple of months now it hasn't really gotten any louder as yet but it can be a little annoying. My mechanic said it's not that bad yet so I will get him to change them in the near future and have the front end re aligned and should be good to go then.

Just curious if your mechanic would work on cars that have some mods? Not sure if you seen my other thread.

Guess ill jack this thread, i have a rattling coming from my car whenever im at approx 2 - 3000 RPM, but only then :S , don't know where its coming from because it only happens when i drive. Its weird but its a rattling noise, like something is loose and shaking around, weird part is that its only happening between those rpms.

Hey Pattyt, is your car Standard or Automatic?
If the sound is kinda like a clatter could be value chatter - or if it is just there around the rpm that you have said but goes away once you push on a little more gas could be a chatter coming from the transmission.

its an auto. You know i was thinking it was something with the exhaust, im not quite that knowledgeable about this but isnt there a system that opens the second exhaust pipe opening at approx 2000 rpm? and maybe as this opens it shakes and rattles. But honestly this is just something i was trying to think of because its such a loud and Rpm selective rattle. Could be the tranny too, anything i can actually check there?

Well if you think it may be the exhaust try checking that all your hangers are in place and that the exhaust or any possible heat shields are causing the rattle, if your thinking its coming from the tranny area, check your tranny fluid level and color it may help to even flush the tranny system and replace the fluids, most quickie lube shops while perform the tranny flush normally about 85.00 bucks.
