I want 2009 Maxima

Post by bharatiya on Wed Mar 26, 2008 8:34 am

So as you can all tell my love for maxima's is never ending and it is just too hard for me to find flaws in Maxima.
Now it happens that I was not the biggest fan of 6th Gen and I started to think about M35 as the next upgrade (Which still in some way a great car). But as soon as I saw 09 4DSC... I am in love with this car...

SO I have decide, as soon it comes out and go for sale ( in US) I am gonna get one....

What you guys think..... or at least feel!!

My next car will be RWD. Sorry, that maxima is out. Possibly G or M series Infiniti...

I must say, the whole RWD thing is very appealing. And after the amount of incidences of flaky Nissan transmission I've come across, its done a great job of turning me off the car, and making my eyes wander when it comes to considerations for a next car.

After all the hype about the new Maxima being 4DSC, I had high hopes and was maybe considering it for a next car a few years from now. But after actually seeing the pics, its done nothing to really to shrink its fat a$$ a little. Still the same boat Sad

I'd take a serious look at a 5-series aswell for a next car. Its RWD, and is also available in the Twin Turbo flavour which is always fun when it comes to modding. Smile

I was seriously looking at 540's when I smacked my myself silly. I haven't even driven on the new rims/tires and suspension, and I'm planning on selling? Maybe in a few years, but I won't sell yet, it doesn't make sense for me.

Yeah, RWD is great but after seeing lot of BMW 5 Series and Gs struggling through streets when my MAXUV is crusing through them, I think I will stick to FWD or AWD. Again I havn't had any major issues yet with mine so there is no turn of in that department.
If I were to "upgrade" to a "different" car it will be anything but a BMW (yes yes I say that who have always praised BMWs but the reason is..they are way too many on Roads and they are becoming more like a corrola and civics ( aka default choice, just in a different category).

If I can spent 60K+ on a car I will go for following: ( In order of price)
1) CTS-V ( Yeah I guess I am getting kind of old but I luv the interior)
2) Cayenne ( That SUV touch)
3) E500 ( when you change, you change it all)

Thats it, for Now I am just going to go see Jbeau to pick those FX35 projectors ;-) ( damn mod bug)

How about an FX35 to go with the headlights?

Cayenne's are amazing. Definitely SUV of choice. The turning radius is unbelievable.

Anyone up for a Lighting GT?

I think I want to see the 7th gen in person....I like the interior, and maybe it looks better in person and might grow on us.

RWD is a struggle and I too would prefer AWD. I'm not afraid of getting stuck if I'm in a residential area, but I am afraid of getting stuck in an intersection or on a regional sideroad when I'm making a turn or getting going on a green light from a standstill.

Ideally, I'd like a Maxima as a winter car and a RWD car for spring/summer/fall because of the heated steering wheel option and affordable luxury.

As unreliable as they likely are, I like the Land Rover Range Rover for the luxurious features, heated steering wheel and uber-pimp factor. I also like the Infiniti QX4, esp. the Platinum Edition.

Although I feel Nissan still put together a very nice car the New 2009 Maxima doesn't really live up to what I was expecting, the front light design is terrible although I like the projector lamp they put in. The hood design leves me wanting more and the rear end just doesn't cut it. This model of Maxima would not be on my list of cars if I was out looking to purchase, I would probably look at G35 and if I was to fall into a bucket of money I would go straight over to the GTR drop down my 81K and drive out a pretty happy guy.
